Stille AB (publ) announces exclusive collaboration with GE Healthcare for a new general surgery table in the United States.<\/strong><\/div>\n
The new general surgery table, GS2\u00ae, has been developed to address a growing need for a premium general surgery table that satisfies the needs of multi-disciplinary surgery units such as Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC), while also providing a cost effective high-value solution. These healthcare facilities perform procedures across a wide spectrum of surgical disciplines alongside the OEC C-arms such as orthopedics, general surgery, cardiovascular, and urology, as well as non-fluoroscopic specialties like plastic surgery, and thus require a highly versatile surgical table.<\/span><\/div>\n

The global ASC market value was estimated at USD 84.4 billion in 2020 with an expected 6% compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next 5 years where North America accounts for just short of half of that market value. In the US, the prevalence of procedures being performed in ASC-facilities has grown substantially over past decades with 4,000 facilities performing 8 million procedures in 2004, to almost 6,000 facilities performing an estimated 30 million procedures in 2020.<\/span><\/div>\n
